Manon's STOCKINGS

We love seeing our customer’s finished projects and wanted to share a special one with you today. The stockings on the right were made by one of our on-line customers, Manon from Dorval.

Manon purchased the Sarah James: Multi Motif #820 Christmas Stocking pattern, from All About Yarn, earlier this year to make for her daughter-in-law. As you can see, she very creatively modified the pattern to feature many of her daughter-in-law’s favorite sporting activities, including hockey sticks and a colorful golf scene. On the sole of the stocking Manon knit a bright yellow star to signify that to the family her daughter-in-law is a star–it’s that just wonderful!

Manon was so inspired after finishing the first stocking that she decided to make a second one for her son as a surprise. His stocking features his favorite hockey team (the Montreal Canadian team), him jogging and watching his local football team, as well as, his love of dogs.

These stockings are sure to become treasured family heirlooms–thank you Manon for sending us photos and the story behind your lovely project!

We hope that Manon’s creativity has inspired you as much as it has the flock here at All About Yarn. Thanks for reading!
